A tooth tip (12) for a ground engaging tool (10) has an elongate body disposed along a longitudinal axis (88) extending from a relatively wide back surface (32) to a relatively narrow front surface (30). The tooth tip may also have a cavity (22) extending from the back surface towards the front surface and a bottom surface (24) extending between the back surface and the front surface. The bottom surface may include a front face (24a) proximate the front surface and a back face (24b) proximate the back surface. The front face and the back face may be separated by a ridge (38).
