The method involves attaching a fixing device (20) to a chest of a patient (P), where the fixing device is comprised of an electromechanical sensor (21). A signal evaluation device (14) is connected to the electro mechanical sensor for generating measuring signals that are fed to the evaluation. The medical device is connected to the signal evaluation device, where the measuring signals are recorded in the fixing device attached to the chest of the patient containing the electro mechanical sensor.
