The method involves determining time limit for dividing observation time period into two time segments. Signals received from signal transmitters (Tag1-Tag3) within the time period are determined and recorded. The number of signals received within the respective segments is measured. The total number of measured signals is determined, and interference signal coefficients and useful signal coefficient are calculated. The transmitters are defined as transmitters moved through a detection path when the useful coefficient is larger than the interference coefficients. An independent claim is also included for a detection device for detecting signal transmitters moved through a detection path.
