MULTICAST PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS

A multicast processing method, apparatus and system. The method comprises: a blocking port 1, port 1 being one port from among an outgoing port and an incoming port, another port from among the outgoing port and incoming port being a root port; receiving from the incoming port a join message that a multicast user is making a request to join a multicast; and setting up a forwarding entry of the multicast data to be forwarded from the outgoing port to the incoming port according to the multicast information of the multicast included in the join message and the port information of the incoming port. An embodiment of the present invention enables a multicast forwarding entry to be set up when one port from among an outgoing port and an incoming port is in a blocked state, therefore, allowing multicast data to be forwarded directly according to the multicast forwarding entry set up, in the case of network anomalies and when starting multicast routing, and thereby achieving the effect of shortened multicast service recovery time.
