<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electromagnetic clutch that reaches a blocked state by switching an electromagnetic solenoid from non-driving to driving, and suppresses wasteful consumption of energy in this blocked state. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic clutch is provided with a wrap spring 11 that presses the outer surface of a tubular section 7b on the center side of a drive pulley 7. One end of the wrap spring 11 is connected to a drive arm 12A of a drive member 12 that is connected to a shaft 3, and the other end 11B of the wrap spring 11 is connected to a moving member 13 that is rotatable relative to the shaft 3 and movable along the axis X of rotation. The electromagnetic clutch further includes an operation mechanism, which is provided with an electromagnetic solenoid S that attracts the moving member 13, and which creates the blocked state by obstructing the rotation of the drive member 12 after the moving member 13 is attracted by the electromagnetic solenoid S and the wrap spring 11 is then subjected to torsional operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
