<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner that can be easily mounted without putting in any man-hours. <P>SOLUTION: The outdoor unit for an air conditioner with a compressor and a fan mounted therein includes: a removable compressor chamber front plate provided at the front of the compressor; an air outlet front plate provided at the front of a fan; and a side plate composing a side of the outdoor unit. The air outlet front plate and the side plate are engaged with the compressor chamber front plate at both ends of the compressor chamber front plate by means of a substantially U-shaped turnover part and a substantially L-shaped bent part at locations where the air outlet front plate is engaged with the compressor chamber front plate, and the side plate is engaged with the compressor chamber front plate. When inserted into the substantially U-shaped turnover part, the substantially L-shaped bent part is held by the substantially U-shaped to thereby prevent the compressor chamber front plate from falling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
