<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data control device which improves efficiency in analysis of faulty packets. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of pieces of packet data acquired from a network in a predetermined period are stored. The pieces of packet data are transmitted to the network with a data processing device as a destination, and it is determined whether a fault has been detected or not. When it is determined that a fault has been detected, the predetermined period is updated, and a plurality of pieces of packet data corresponding to the updated period are transmitted to the network.
