<p>Strand guide roller (1) of a strand guide device for guiding a cast metal strand in a continuous casting plant, comprises (i) a tube (3) formed on the peripheral side of the strand guide roller for contacting the cast metal strand, (ii) a roller core arranged in the inner side (8) of the tube, (iii) at least one recess (11) on the surface of roll core (5), which is formed for receiving a cooling fluid, and (iv) recess, which is covered by the tube. An independent claim is also included for producing the strand guide roller of the strand guide device, comprising (a) providing the tube, which is formed on the peripheral side of the strand guide roller for contacting the cast metal strand, (b) arranging the roller core in the inner side of the tube, which carries on its surface at least one recess for receiving the cooling fluid, and (c) inserting the roll core into the inner side of the tube, and arranging it in the inner side of the tube such that the recess is covered by the tube.</p> |
