<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system which allows effective communication relating to both loudspeaker broadcasting and non-loudspeaker broadcasting by effectively utilizing communication slots that can be used in communication. <P>SOLUTION: A wireless communication system includes a master station device which encodes and transmits a voice for loudspeaker, and a slave station device which receives the encoded voice to decode, amplify and output the voice. The master station device has a plurality of voice codecs (a codec 25 for loudspeaker using 3 slots, and a codec 26 for loudspeaker using 2 slots) which can be used for encoding a voice signal relating to loudspeaker broadcasting, and a selection unit 23 selects a voice codec to be used for encoding a voice signal relating to the loudspeaker broadcasting depending on the urgency of loudspeaker broadcasting, and the number of communication slots already in use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
