CHARGE CONTROL DEVICE, TELEVISION RECEIVER, AND CHARGE CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the lifetime of a secondary battery by preventing the occurrence of an event that shortens the lifetime of the secondary battery.

SOLUTION: A monitor 110 of a television 100 includes a control circuit 240 having a function as a charge control unit controlling the charging of a battery unit 402. The monitor 110 has a charge mode "mode 1" that performs the main charging of the battery unit 402 by power from an AC adapter 404 when the power is supplied from the AC adapter 404 and a charge mode "charge 2" that does not perform the main charging of the battery unit 402 by the power from the AC adapter 404 even when the power is supplied from the AC adapter 404.
