<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional optical module having a high optical output and high sensitivity, and capable of being compactly made. <P>SOLUTION: An inventive bidirectional optical module includes: a plurality of light-emitting devices for emitting the rays of light with different wavelength; a light receiving element; a first port and a second port to which optical fibers are respectively connected; wavelength filters for regulating wavelength ranges of rays of light incident to the first port and the second port, respectively; and a beam splitter for splitting incident light into a plurality of rays of light, the beam splitter splitting light emitted from any one of the plurality of light-emitting devices and entering the beam splitter and making it enter any one of the first and second ports, as well as, splitting return light entering the beam splitter and returning from each of the optical fibers connected to the first port and the second port and making it enter the light receiving element; all of them being included in spatial light where light emitted from the plurality of light-emitting devices are coupled with the optical fibers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
