<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave radiation coaxial cable capable of radiating a circular polarized electromagnetic wave when a high frequency signal is input, and also provide a communication system comprising the electromagnetic wave radiation coaxial cable. <P>SOLUTION: An electromagnetic wave radiation coaxial cable (10) includes: an inner conductor (20) which is formed of a conductor and extends along a cable axis; an insulator (22) covering the inner conductor (20); and an outer conductor (24) spirally wound around the insulator (22) in a single winding at a predetermined pitch to provide a gap (30) from which a part of the insulator (22) is exposed. A prescribed relation is satisfied among a wavelength of a high frequency signal to be transmitted or received, a relative dielectric constant of the insulator (22) at the wavelength, and a winding pitch of the outer conductor (24) along the direction of the cable axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
