<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable initiating a device including a laser diode, even if power supply capability of a power supply is insufficient in the temperature control of the laser diode at the initiation. <P>SOLUTION: A laser diode control circuit 3 includes a controller 33 which acquires a consumption current value in a TEC driver 32 when the voltage value of the power supply reaches a predetermined lower-limit threshold, to set the current upper limit value of the TEC driver 32, based on the consumption current value. Thus, the occurrence of a voltage drop in the power supply voltage value below the predetermined lower-limit threshold is prevented. By this, if an optical transceiver 1 includes a power supply voltage monitoring/reset circuit 38 for performing resetting on the occurrence of a voltage drop in the power supply to suspend the initiation, the operation of the reset circuit at the initiation is prevented, so that the optical transceiver 1 can be initiated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
