A material kneading device is provided with: a screw (3) which is inserted through a cylinder (2) into which a material is to be input, and which is rotatably supported at opposite ends of the cylinder (2) at the upstream side and the downstream side, or at the end of the cylinder (2) at the upstream side; a kneading element (521) comprising a plurality of transfer blades (32A, 32B) which are formed to be helical on the screw (3) to transfer the material to the downstream side by the rotation of the screw (3); and a kneading element (522) comprising return blades (33) which are formed to be helical on the screw (3) to return the material transferred to the downstream side by the kneading element (521) to the upstream side by rotation, wherein the number of the return blades (33) is smaller than the number of the transfer blades (32A, 32B). |
