The vehicle seat (1) comprises a seat section (3) and a backrest (2), which are converted from a use position into an easy-entry-position. The vehicle seat is pushed forward and the backrest is inclined in direction of the seat section in the easy-entry-position. The backrest is secured in a position by a locking mechanism with a locking unit (10), where the locking mechanism is released, when the vehicle seat is guided back into the use position. The locking unit is converted from a locking position into an unlocking position and vice versa and the locking mechanism has a holding unit.
