The frame structure (1) has a base (2) that is arranged for holding the photovoltaic module. The base is equipped with supporting portions (3a,3b) formed of aluminum alloy or steel. The cross-section areas (4a-4g) are formed of thermoplastic elastomer and extended from the base. The base is provided with receiving portion (8) to receive an edge section of photovoltaic module. A cross-section area (5) is extended from base and is firmly connected with supporting portion of base. An independent claim is included for arrangement for production of solar energy.
