A speech processing system for notifying a user about the timing and direction for inputting speech is provided. The speech processing system is provided with: a first microphone for generating a first input speech signal based on speech from a speaker; a second microphone for generating a second input speech signal, the second microphone being provided in a position different from the first microphone; a noise suppression means for estimating a noise signal included in the first input speech signal on the basis of the second input speech signal, generating an estimated noise signal, and suppressing noise signals on the basis of the estimated noise signal; a notification means for notifying the speaker about the direction and timing of speech; and a startup means for controlling the notification process carried out by the notification means and the noise suppression process carried out by the noise suppression means.
