<p>The invention relates to a binding machine that is called a needleless stapler and the purpose is to secure the elastic rebound force necessary to restore the blade at the necessary timepoint while keeping the energy necessary for operation low. The invention is equipped with: a paper-holding part (2) that holds multiple sheets of paper (P); a blade (3) that pierces the paper (P) held in the paper-holding part (2); a drive mechanism (4) that moves the blade (3) and the paper-holding part (2) relative to each other using the operation force applied on a handle; and a spring (5) that stores rebound force using some of the operation force applied on the handle and, after reaching the operation completion time (T3) when the operation force is dissipated, withdraws the blade (3) from the paper (P) using the rebound force to bind the paper (P). The invention is configured so that the handle operation completion time (T3) can occur between the time of maximum penetration (T2) when the blade (3) pierces the paper (P) most deeply and the time of maximum resistance (T4) when the resistance to withdrawal of the blade (3) from the paper (P) is highest.</p> |
