The invention relates to a transmission device (10), in particular for an adjusting device for adjusting at least one variable compression ratio of an internal combustion engine, comprising a sun gear (14), at least one planet gear (16), which meshes with the sun gear (14) by means of respective arrangements of teeth (28), and two ring gears (18, 20), which can be rotated relative to one another about a rotational axis (22) and which mesh with the planet gear (16) by means of respective arrangements of teeth (30), wherein a drive element (38) is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the sun gear (14) that can be rotated about the rotational axis (22). The sun gear (14) can be driven by means of said drive element (38), and the planet gear (16) is at least partially covered in the axial direction on at least one end face of the planet gear (16) by means of said drive element (38).
