<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDM system capable of improving efficiency in managing registered data and capable of speeding up retrieval of the registered data. <P>SOLUTION: As databases for storing template information regarding data files consisting of various documents and drawings including specifications, circuit diagrams and the like, a PDM system comprises: a template storage section 31 for managing version numbers of templates; an assignment number storage section 32 for managing assignment numbers of the templates; an attribute storage section 33 for managing attributes for defining keywords for retrieval of data files applied with the templates. In response to a number assignment request by a terminal device 1, the assignment number of the template is automatically updated and registered in the assignment number storage section 32. When there is a data registration request from the terminal device 1, whether the template to be applied to the registering data is the latest version or not is automatically checked, and an attribute name inputted from the terminal device 1 for each attribute regarding the registering data is registered in the attribute storage section 33 as a keyword for retrieval. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
