<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking aid for easily adjusting a load threshold for the determination of landing timing. <P>SOLUTION: The walking aid includes: a thigh link, a crus link, a motor, a sensor and a controller. The motor swings the crus link. The load sensor detects a load to be added to the foot sole of a leg with the crus link mounted thereon. The controller controls the motor, based on timing when the load measured by the load sensor exceeds a landing determination load threshold during the walking action of a user. The aid is configured to allow the controller to perform a load adjustment mode including following processing: (1) keeping the swing angle of the crus link to be a predetermined adjustment mode angle; (2) specifying the maximum value and minimum value of the load during one walking period, which are measured by the load sensor, while the swing angle is kept to be the adjustment mode angle; and (3) determining the load threshold, based on the specified maximum value and minimum value of the load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
