<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that can prevent a person from suffering heat stroke inside a house. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner the operation of which is controlled based on the detection of the presence or absence of a person by a human body detection sensor mounted in an indoor unit, includes a room temperature detector for detecting the room temperature of a room to be air conditioned.
