摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire that can improve both steering stability performance on dry roads surfaces and steering stability performance on wet road surfaces in comparison with conventional pneumatic tires. <P>SOLUTION: A tread pattern of the pneumatic tire has two center main grooves, a circumferential main groove including the outside main groove and the inside main groove, a land which is defined by the circumferential main groove and grounding ends at both sides, and a shoulder lug groove. When setting the largest groove width of the circumferential main groove as Wmax, and the groove width of the outside main groove as Wout, Wmax/Wout is set to be not smaller than 1.5 and not larger than 2.5. A rate of a groove area ratio Sin at a second side in the tire width direction with a tire center line as a center to a groove area ratio Sout at a first side is not smaller than 1.10 and smaller than 1.25. In an intermediate land, the groove area ratio in a region at the second side is higher compared with the groove area ratio in a region at the first side with a center line in the tire width direction as a boundary.
