<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating device for an internal combustion engine which can exchange heat in cooling water and a lubricant according to an operation state of the internal combustion engine by a simpler configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In the lubricating device for the internal combustion engine for supplying the lubricant to each part of the engine to be circulated through a lubricant passage formed in a cylinder head 12 and a cylinder block 11 of the water-cooled internal combustion engine 10, a head supply lubricant passage 34 which is a lubricant passage for directly supplying the lubricant from a main gallery 33 of the lubricant into a lubricant distribution surface of the cylinder head 12 is formed.
