<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide water treatment equipment that does not generate sparks due to the mass of water accumulated at upper and lower ends of a cylindrical electrode and that can stably perform water treatment by streamer discharge for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The water treatment equipment 1a includes a linear electrode 4 that is arranged so as to penetrate through the inside of the cylindrical electrode 3. In the water treatment equipment 1a, water to be treated is supplied as a water droplet with a particle diameter of 1,500 μm or less into a streamer discharge space produced by applying a high voltage between the cylindrical electrode 3 and the linear electrode 4, and matter to be treated in the water droplet is decomposed. The cylindrical electrode 3 comprises a cylindrical electrode body part 31, the inside diameter of which is almost uniform in the vertical direction, and diameter enlargement parts 32 in which the diameter is enlarged in the direction of getting away from the cylindrical electrode body part 31, at the upper and lower ends of the cylindrical electrode body part 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
