Provided is a box-packing device capable of causing packaged items to stand upright within a limited section on a conveyor without the need to stand the packed items as a group, even when length of a single packaged item is great in the transport direction. In the box-packing device (1), a fourth conveyor belt (41) dams the lead of an approaching row of packaged items (P), and applies an upward force to the lead packaged item (P). The lead packaged item (P) is subjected to the upward force and made to stand erect. Therefore, the trailing packaged items (P) are sequentially made to stand erect while riding up the packaged item (P) in front. Accordingly, the packaged item (P) can be caused to stand upright within a limited section of a third conveyor belt (31), even when length of a single packaged item (P) is great in the transport direction.
