The tool container (10) has a housing (12) provided with two vertical and parallel side walls (25,27). The horizontal guides are provided at side walls in housing and are parallel to one another. The drawers (14,16) are moved inside the guides by a rolling and sliding system. The guides are formed as rib-like profile structure and are integrated in the side walls. A central locking mechanism (22) is provided for simultaneous locking of drawers.
