ADSORBENT COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR DECONTAMINATING CONTAMINATED WATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent composition which can adsorb a radioactive contaminant with high selectivity to decontaminate contaminated water with excellent efficiency, and in which the treatment after adsorbing the contaminant can be performed easily.

SOLUTION: The adsorbent composition contains: chitosan; a polymer having an acidic group; and a pigment having, as a main component, a compound shown by general formula (1). The general formula (1): MFe[Fe(CN)6] (wherein M represents an alkali metal or an ammonium group; one of two irons (Fe) is divalent and the other thereof is trivalent).
