<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst device formed by integrating a DPF, an SCR catalyst, and an oxidation catalyst while attaining both of a DPF function and an SCR function. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst device 4 has a wall flow type carrier 14. The carrier 14 is constituted of a porous base material 11. The SCR catalyst for reducing NOx is carried in fine holes of the inside of the base material 11. A collection layer 12 for collecting PM in an exhaust gas is applied on a surface 11a of the base material 11 at the diesel engine 1 side.
