<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a system including a display device capable of reducing time from power-on until display of a screen of the display device and reducing the starting time of the system. <P>SOLUTION: A system includes: a boot loader that downloads a graphic display control program held in a program storage device to an FPGA communicating with the program storage device at the start-up of the system; and a display device that communicates with the FPGA and displays boot progress. The boot loader first downloads a character display program included in the graphic display control program to the FPGA.
