<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire treads capable of reducing rolling resistance by improving a high modulus of elasticity, cut and chipping resistance, fracture resistance, and abrasion resistance in a good balance and enhancing low heat build-up properties; and to provide a pneumatic tire. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tire treads includes: 100 pts.mass of a rubber component comprising 50-100 pts.mass of a natural rubber or polyisoprene rubber and 0-50 pts.mass of a polybutadiene rubber; and 0.5-30 pts.mass of an inorganic filler wherein an angle of repose is ≥40 degrees, the Mohs hardness is ≤2.0, the BET specific surface area (BET5) (m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g) is ≥10 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g, and a ratio (DBP)/(BET5) of the dibutyl phthalate (DBP) absorption number (mL/100 g) to the BET specific surface area (BET5) (m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g) is ≥2.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
