摘要 Provided is a negative-electrode active material, with which a lithium ion secondary cell having excellent cell characteristics can be configured. This negative-electrode active material for a lithium ion secondary cell is characterized in containing a mixed material of silicon oxide particles that are composed of a silicon oxide, and bar-like iron oxide particles that are composed of an iron oxide. Iron oxide particles, each of which has a plurality of fine pores on the surface, are preferably used, and electrode reaction is efficiently performed.
