Tread profile of a vehicle pneumatic tyre for utility vehicles having a tread profile section (13) which is in the centre of the tyre in the axial direction A, and in each case one shoulder profile section (14, 15), wherein the central tread profile section (13) is composed of the profile belts (18, 19, 20), and the shoulder profile sections (14, 15) each have a second profile belt (16, 17), wherein a first circumferential groove (21, 22) is arranged in each case between a first profile belt (18, 20) of the central tread section (13) and the profile belt (16, 17) of the shoulder section, which circumferential groove (21, 22) is formed with a web (29) which is radially raised from the groove base of said circumferential groove (21, 22) and which divides the circumferential groove (22) into a narrow first circumferential groove section (33) and into a wider second circumferential groove section (34) which has, at the groove base, a linear section (37) of extent which merges, with a curvature radius R3 and R2, with the edges (28) and (32) of the profile belt (17) or of the web (29), wherein R3 > R2, and the linear section (37) of extent is embodied at an angle a of inclination > 0°.
