<p>The device has a probe (1) which consists of a hollow vessel, particularly a hollow cylinder, whose diameter is smaller than the bore (2). An elastically closed vessel or pressure chamber (3) is provided which is deployable or expandable outside the probe. The vessel or pressure chamber is attached in the hollow cylinder. A high pressure line is coupled with the expandable vessel by a valve. A high-pressure generator is coupled with a fluid-storage chamber and the vessel or pressure chamber. An independent claim is included for a method for closing an oil well that is gone wild.</p>
