LED CHIP TRANSFER AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: An LED chip transfer apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to improve productivity by increasing speed for moving an LED chip from a pick-up position to a pick-up releasing position. CONSTITUTION: A coordinate detection part(30) detects an initial coordinate of LED chips which are attached to a supply wafer. A loading wafer which receives the LED chip from the supply wafer is loaded on a loading stage. A chip picker unit(40) releases the pick-up of the loading wafer by picking up the LED chip from the supply wafer. An error detection part(50) is arranged between the supply stage and the loading stage. The error detection part detects the presence of the pick-up position error of the LED chip which is picked up in the chip picker unit.
