<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently correct a streak on an image. <P>SOLUTION: There are formed an output image in an output image area 61 on a paper sheet P, and belt-shaped patterns 64 and 65 long in a main scanning direction, having a predetermined gradation, in margin areas 62 and 63 of the paper sheet P on which the output image is formed. A range in the main scanning direction of the belt-shaped patterns 64 and 65 corresponds to a range in the main scanning direction of the output image. A streak in a sub-scanning direction is detected on the basis of an output value of a belt-shaped pattern portion read by a line sensor so that image data of an image formed after the detection of the streak is corrected on the basis of a position of the detected streak, a width thereof, and a difference between the output value thereof and that of a periphery of the detected streak. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
