<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cannula-stabilizing device capable of expanding or capable of both expanding and swelling which can fix a cannula at a certain place against the abdomen wall by absorbing a fluid of body or supplied outside body into the stabilizing device. <P>SOLUTION: A stabilizer 10 for use to fix a cannula assembly 26 relative to tissue includes an stabilizing member positionable on an elongate tubular member 36 relating to the cannula assembly.
