<p>Disclosed are a network switching method and device, relating to the technical field of communications, and invented for improving user experience. The network switching method includes: receiving the network service ability information about the currently used service network sent by a set top box; determining whether or not the network service ability of the service network currently used by the set top box supports the current service of the set top box according to the network service ability information; and if the network service ability of the service network currently used by the set top box does not support the current service of the set top box, then the set top box is indicated to perform service network switching.
