<p>Disclosed is a packet transport network (PTN) device, comprising a main system processing module and a digital subscriber line (DSL) card. The main system processing module is used for sending an Ethernet packet corresponding to a packet service to the DSL card and receiving an Ethernet packet transmitted from the DSL card. The DSL card is used for processing the Ethernet packet received from the main system processing module to obtain a DSL signal transmittable on a DSL line and sending the DSL signal to the DSL line for transmission; and processing a DSL signal from the DSL line to obtain an Ethernet packet and sending the Ethernet packet to the main system processing module. In the application where some network setup abroad is inconvenient so that it is necessary to lease DSL lines that have been set up by others, the present invention enables the operator to use this solution to bear services having low delay requirements such as HSDPA, thereby greatly saving the operator's cost.</p>
