<p>A skateboard truck includes a base, a hanger and a pivot connection between the base and the hanger, retaining the hanger to the base. A kingpin is secured to the base through an opening in the hanger. A pivot connection between the hanger and the kingpin excludes translation movement except along the axis of the kingpin. A resilient spacer is compressed between the base and the hanger. The spacer size determines an angular orientation of the kingpin's axis, a location of the hanger pivot connection to the kingpin, and a pivot axis of the hanger relative to the base, a pivot axis of the hanger relative to the base is defined by a line between the first and second pivot connections, and contact between a surface of the hanger's opening and the kingpin defines end limits for tilting of the hanger about axes transverse to the axis of the kingpin.</p> |
