The degradation of the n-value characteristics can be prevented while the Jc-characteristics are improved. An oxide superconductor thin film comprises: a substrate (32) having a single crystal structure and having a substrate principal surface (32B) angled with respect to a crystal face (32A) of the single crystal structure; an intermediate layer (34) formed on the substrate principal surface (32B) and having an axis oriented perpendicular to the crystal face (32A); and a superconducting layer (36) formed on the intermediate layer (34) and containing, as a main component, an oxide superconductor having the c-axis oriented perpendicular to the intermediate layer surface.
