The invention relates to installations for producing a solution of chlorine-containing oxidants which can be used as disinfecting reagents for sterilizing and cleaning drinking water, waste water, recycled water and other media. The technical problem addressed by the present invention is that of increasing the operating reliability of the installation by extending the period of continuous operation between prophylactic and repair operations. The technical problem is solved in that the installation for producing an aqueous solution of chlorine dioxide and chlorine, which installation uses sulphuric acid, chlorate and sodium chloride as reagents, comprises a control unit, a reactor for producing the aqueous solution of chlorine dioxide and chlorine, containers for the reagents, metering pumps for feeding the reagents into the reactor, a tank containing water for flushing out the reactor, valves for regulating the streams of materials, a water-jet ejector, an air consumption indicator, a temperature and pressure gauge and regulator, a system for the regular flushing out of the reactor and a valve for the regular flushing out of overflow from the reactor into the ejector and from the ejector. The reactor may also be provided with a temperature sensor and the installation with a chlorine dioxide sensor.
