The structure has a fixing member (60) locally fixing a mounting profile (10) to a support i.e. frame, and comprising a planar support surface (62b) parallel and opposite to another support surface (62a). The former support surface is arranged for resting on the support. The fixing member is adapted such that an anchoring element i.e. fin, engages with another anchoring element i.e. groove (19) when the support surfaces rest on the support. The former anchoring element is off-set with respect to a median plane of the fixing member parallel to the support surfaces. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a facility (2) a method for mounting a solar energy collecting panel on a support.
