PURPOSE: A vertical axis type wind turbine is provided such that the shapes of variable blades change by eccentrically adjusting a rotary shaft and cylindrical body according to wind strength and direction. CONSTITUTION: A vertical axis type wind turbine comprises a vertical shaft(200), a rotary shaft(300), upper and lower cylindrical bodies, a variable blade(500), and a control unit. The upper and lower cylindrical bodies move in a radial direction to the rotary shaft. The variable blade is extended and contracted in the radial direction to the rotary shaft. The variable blade is opened or unfolded by movements of the upper and lower cylindrical bodies. The control unit controls the variable blade while the upper and lower cylindrical bodies move in the radial direction to the rotary shaft. |
