A motor control device has a first multi-layered circuit board (31) as a control board for controlling drive of a steering assistance electric motor (18). The first multi-layered circuit board (31) is an annular multi-layer circuit board having a through-hole (55) in the center thereof and includes a third layer (53) as a ground layer and a second layer (52) as an electric power source layer. A circular are ground pattern (57) placed around the output shaft (30) of the electric motor is formed on the third layer (53). An electric are power source pattern (56) having substantially the same shape as the ground pattern (57) is formed on the second layer (52). The construction reduces noise from the motor control device.
