PURPOSE: A peptide for diagnosing porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV) is provided to effectively diagnose PRRSV infection and to detect the presence of PRRSV antibody. CONSTITUTION: A peptide for diagnosing porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome(PRRS) virus is a peptide of sequence number 1 or 2. A composition for diagnosing PRRSV contains the peptide of sequence number 1 or 2. A kit for diagnosing PRRSV contains the peptide of sequence number 1 or 2. The kit contains an antibody for the peptide of sequence number 1 or 2. A method for detecting a PRRSV antibody in a biological sample comprises: a step of providing the biological sample; a step of reacting the biological sample with the peptide; and a step of detecting the presence of the antibody.
