An electrical contact component includes an external terminal (base)(2) to be mounted on a surface of a wiring board (31) with a solder (32) and a fitting portion (4) having a fitting periphery forming a tubular shape. The external terminal has a first principal surface (11) opposing the surface of the wiring board (31), a second principal surface (12) substantially parallel to the first principal surface (11), and sides (13) substantially perpendicular to the first and second principal surfaces (11) and (12) and connecting the first principal surface (11) to the second principal surface (12). The fitting portion is continuously provided on the second principal surface (12). The fitting periphery of the fitting portion (4) is electrically connected to the second principal surface (12) and the sides (13) of the external terminal (2) by metal layers (22) and (23) formed over their respective surfaces. The metal layer (22) contains Ni as a principal constituent and Co, and the metal layer (23) contains Au as a principal constituent.
