PURPOSE: A coating apparatus is provided to produce devices at low cost by coating rapidly intermittently a material to be coated or coating the entire of the material to be coated. CONSTITUTION: A coating apparatus includes nozzles(1) which discharge coating liquid. The nozzles further includes suction holes(3) for gas at the upstream of discharging holes(2) for coating liquid. A plurality of uneven parts is arranged on the walls of the suction holes in the nozzles. The wetting state of the walls of the suction holes in the nozzles is unstable. The angles of the tip ends of the nozzles and the walls of the suction holes in the nozzles are different to a coating width direction.
