Clothing 10 having one or more regions 12, 14, 16 (18, Fig 2) provided with patches in the form of corresponding complementary shaped confronting flexible membranes 20 located on the inside and the outside surfaces of the clothing. The clothing may be hosiery and the membranes may be provided in regions corresponding to the ball of the foot, the heel of the foot, the back of the heel of the foot, the top of the foot and adjacent the joint of the big or small toe of the foot of the wearer. The membrane may be a thermoplastic elastomer or made of a material selected from rubber, polyvinyl chloride or silicone. |
