A sleeve for a magnet, the sleeve 36 takes the form of a hollow cylinder having a curved wall with thickness less than 0.8mm. Preferably reinforcing ribs 37 are provided, each around the circumference of the outer surface of the hollow cylinder. Additionally four equally spaced reinforcing spines 33 may be provided perpendicular to the ribs 37 wherein the ribs 37 and spines 33 may define rectangular panels 35. Preferably the sleeve is a component part of a separator device 10 for removing particles from suspension in a fluid. Also disclosed is an in-line fitment (130, Fig 9) for connection of a filtering, cleaning or processing device to a pipe comprising first and second in-line sockets (132, Fig 9) for accepting the open ends of fluid-carrying pipes. The first and second sockets being linked by a spacer (144, Fig 9), and the first socket having a pipe receiving depth greater than that of the second socket. The in-line fitment may be used for fitting a separator device in-line in a central heating circuit. |
